What is the Trail?
Makers Frontyard Trail is a one-day celebration of creativity, community and all things handmade.
On Saturday 17 October 2026, front yards, driveways and carports across the Inner West will transform into pop-up creative spaces, showcasing local artists and makers. Wander the trail, meet the makers, discover unique handmade work and enjoy a day of local creativity and connection.
Presented in partnership with the Inner West Council and part of Sydney Craft Week.
How it works
Makers living within the Inner West LGA can register their front yard, driveway, or front porch as a location on the trail. Hosts are encouraged to invite other makers and artists to join them on the day, creating shared spaces that feel welcoming, social and full of creativity.
If you’re a maker and don’t have your own front yard, or live outside the Inner West LGA, you can still take part. We can help match you with a host who has space available, making it easy to connect with other local makers and be part of the Trail.
Sharing spaces not only makes the day more fun for everyone involved, it also helps build new creative connections and grow your local maker community.
